Scotland & Ireland.
The Wild Atlantic coast of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Scotland Travel Blog – 17th March 2021.
A private tour of immense beauty through Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
With travel restrictions across the UK and Ireland lifting in April 2021, we can, at last, start planning some travel time!
We have designed a brand-new tour, which we believe, will capture your spirit of adventure. Our new tour, travelling the Atlantic coast from North West Scotland to County Clare in Ireland is just the type of adventure you might need after two years of travel restrictions, caused by the Corona Virus.
The route we follow on this tour, features some of the best coastal scenery anywhere in the world. We discover the lands of Wester Ross, the Isle of Skye, Lochaber and Argyll. Not only do we explore the amazing scenery here, but we also introduce our local flavour’s theme, visiting the best of local, cultural and historic sights. We always support local businesses on our tours.
We stay in the beautiful harbour town of Oban where you can enjoy some of the best seafood in Scotland.
The last part of our Scotland leg of this trip is in the undiscovered area of coastal South Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway. There are so many hidden gems and local places to visit in this fascinating region of Scotland.
We sail over to Northern Ireland and enjoy a day and night in the vibrant city of Belfast. The Titanic Museum is not to be missed! Our journey then continues to the Glens of Antrim on the north Irish coast, where the views are absolutely beautiful. We tour the Causeway coast, including the Giants Causeway.
We visit one of the most amazing Hillforts, dating to 3500BC as we make our way to Donegal in Ireland. Our journey continues to the Wild Atlantic Way, a stunning coastal route on the west coast of Ireland. We visit Sligo, a gem of a town with a lively atmosphere and fantastic traditional music. We cross from County Sligo into County Mayo where land and sea views just get better and better especially at Clew Bay! Our journey continues to the vibrant city of Galway. We tour around beautiful Connemara and enjoy time in Galway. Our journey concludes in County Clare, with a visit to the Aran islands, and a final night in a village on the west coast, where you can watch the sun go down.
This tour is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, to see the absolute best coastal scenery of Scotland and Ireland. You will only get the experience of this life-affirming journey with James Campbell Tours.
